Doctor and legal adviser Omar Al-Khouly said that the text of article (28) of the Regulations of the Sports Arbitration Center indicates cases in which participation in the composition of the arbitration board is unacceptable.
He added that the rules also oblige members of the Commission to disclose anything that could link them to any of the parties to the dispute, either positively or negatively, in a way that would undermine its neutrality.
He clarified that if what the Al-Nasr Club reported about the discovery or persistence of negative tweets about the club posted by one of the candidates in a way that indicates his bias or loss of impartiality is true, the club may object to his candidacy for membership to the commission and submit a request for a response to the center, unless the designated member resigns of his own accord.
At the same time, it is guaranteed that it is unacceptable to remove an arbiter because of his sports inclinations.
