HRH Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir Region, thanked the wise leadership for supporting and making it possible to host the 8th edition of the Arab Youth Teams Cup 2022 in Asir Region, praising the efforts of the Arab Union and the Saudi Federation in organizing and establishing it, noting that the tournament added to the region the dimension of an outstanding athlete in addition to the tourism dimension it enjoyed during this period.
This came after His Highness crowned the Saudi youth team with the championship cup after defeating its Egyptian counterpart in a shoot-out (3–5) in the final match between Saudi Arabia and Egypt at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz City Stadium in Abha.
For his part, HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, President of the Arab Football Association, praised the patronage of HRH Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Asir Region, in the final match of the Arab Youth Cup. Teams, and crowned champion of the competition.
The Secretary General of the Arab Football Association, Dr. Raja Al Salami, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Governor of the Asir region for all the support services rendered to the tournament during the tournament in the Asir region. with the participation of 18 Arab teams from various government sectors of the region, noting that this support contributed to the success of the tournament, expressing gratitude to all the teams participating in this edition, and at the same time, congratulations to the Saudi team for achieving the title of this edition.
Al-Salami explained that under the constant guidance of His Highness the President of the Federation, we have strived to develop and develop the Arab Youth Cup and all tournaments in various age groups, so that Arab players find the opportunity to acquire technical skills, hold large tournaments with a large number of teams.
