Apex Legends Season 18: Resurrection
The popular live service battle royale title Apex Legends is getting set to enter season number 18 titled Resurrection, which will break new ground for Respawn in the game’s evolution when it goes live on August 8, 2023.
Revenant Rework
Instead of adding a new legend or weapon, Season 18 will give an old legend, Revenant, an entirely new look and kit. Revenant was added to Apex Legends in Season 4, and his abilities have undergone significant changes.
Assassin’s Instinct
Revenant’s passive ability now allows him to climb and crawl even faster, both vertically and horizontally.
Shadow Pounce
Revenant’s tactical ability, Shadow Pounce, replaces his old silencing ability. It allows him to perform a powerful leap, which can be charged up for increased distance.
Forged Shadows
Instead of his previous ultimate ability, Revenant now activates Forged Shadows. This ability creates shadows that protect Revenant from damage and refreshes with each knockdown.
Charge Rifle Update
The Charge Rifle, one of the more iconic weapons in the game, has received a significant update in Season 18.
Concentrated Energy Blast
The Charge Rifle’s long beam has been replaced with a concentrated energy blast that has a longer arc. It can be charged up for increased damage and now allows for the use of extended magazines.
Other Changes
In addition to the Revenant and Charge Rifle updates, Season 18 introduces new maps based on the latest Broken Moon battle royale map for the Mixtape mode. Ranked play also sees changes with the removal of Dive Trails for high-ranking players, replaced by Epic level Banner Frames.
Launch Details
Season 18 of Apex Legends will go live on August 8, 2023, with the patch notes arriving a day earlier on August 7, 2023.
