Starting today, Apple’s pricing increases for out-of-warranty battery replacements for iPhones, iPads, and Macs are more expensive. Older iPhone 13 models, Macs, and iPads that are out of warranty and do not have AppleCare+ will have higher costs.
For example, a battery replacement for an iPhone 13 model has increased by $20 to $89 from the previous repair price. Apple charges $69 for repairs on the iPhone 8 and older. At the same time, the $89 pricing applies to the iPhone X through the iPhone 13. For iPhone 14 models, the out-of-warranty battery replacement price is still $99, as it was when Apple first offered it in September.
The cost of the iPad has increased by $20 for many models, including the 12.9-inch iPad Pro models from the fifth generation and later, the 11-inch iPad Pro models from the third generation and before, the 10.5-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro models, all iPad mini models, and all iPad Air models. The price to replace these smartphones’ batteries has increased to $119.
Apple's battery prices are increasing today by up to $50 for select iPhone, Mac, and iPad devices. Ours aren't.

The battery replacement cost for one of the most recent iPad Pro models is $179 for the 12.9-inch device and $149 for the 11-inch model.
The cost of Mac battery replacements has increased by $30 to $50, with all MacBook Air batteries now costing $159 and all MacBook Pro batteries costing $249.
Please note that these costs apply to devices without AppleCare + whose one-year warranty has ended and require an out-of-warranty battery replacement. If your battery has degenerated below a particular level and you have AppleCare Plus, battery replacements are free.
The article’s pricing is also applicable to the US. Yet, prices for new batteries are rising in other nations as well. On the websites for Apple’s Mac, iPad, and iPhone repair services, replacement cost estimates are accessible. Apple started informing consumers of the price increases in January.
