Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Release Date Moved Up to October 5, Offering a Focused and Exciting Experience

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is coming sooner than expected

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the next installment of Ubisoft’s popular game series. Unlike previous games with massive open worlds and RPG elements, Mirage will be a smaller and more focused experience. The goal with Mirage is to return to the core pillars of the franchise: stealth, parkour, and assassinations. The setting takes us back to the Middle East, specifically a bustling Baghdad, where players will embody a younger Basim compared to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Exciting, isn’t it? Well, Ubisoft has two fantastic pieces of news! Firstly, the game has gone gold, meaning it is finished and ready to be released on various platforms. Even more excitingly, the release date has been moved up from October 12 to October 5 for PC, Xbox Series, PS5, Xbox One, and PS4. This is great news for Mirage, especially considering the frequent delays in the gaming industry. However, some people are skeptical on social media because the earlier release date gives the development team less time to identify bugs and fix them. Nonetheless, they still have a month and a half to complete this crucial task, which should be sufficient. Mirage is a smaller game compared to Ubisoft’s usual open-world titles, built on a familiar engine and a formula that has been perfected for over 15 years. This should make it less prone to bugs, although we can only hope. Additionally, Ubisoft’s decision to bring forward the release date is understandable given the busy month of October that awaits us.

October, a very busy month

We hope you have well-rested during the summer because the start of the school year is going to be hectic. With upcoming releases such as Starfield, Payday 3, Cyberpunk 2077 DLC, The Crew Motorfest, EA Sports FC 24, Mortal Kombat 1, and Lies of P, the schedule is jam-packed. And that’s not all for October! Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been squeezed in between Detective Pikachu Returns, Forza Motorsport, The Lords of the Fallen, Alan Wake II, Super Mario Bros. Wonderful, and most notably, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Originally set to launch on October 12, Mirage would have risked being overshadowed by these major releases. However, by moving its release date a week earlier, Mirage offers some respite and becomes the first big game to kick off this busy month of October. By taking the lead, it gives itself a greater chance of success! All it needs to do is prove itself and offer a quality gaming experience. Let’s hope that it delivers!
