Australia qualified for the World Cup for the sixth time in its history after defeating Peru in the final World Cup qualifier on penalties.
Australia faced Peru on Monday at the Ahmed bin Ali World Cup Stadium in the final round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
Both teams went on a penalty shoot-out which Australia won 5-4.
Thus, Australia reached the final of the World Cup for the sixth time in its history and the fifth time in a row after participating in the championships in 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018.
