Barcelona was pitted against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League quarterfinals draw as the Catalans continue their offer win of Europe second-level event for the first time.
Barca has five titles in the European Cup / League and four from the defunct Cup Winners’ Cup but he never did won UEFA Cup / Europa League.
Meanwhile, Frankfurt won the Uefa Cup in 1980 and was semifinalist in 2019.
The winner of the draw on 7 and 14 April will do so face the winner of West Ham, who ousted record winners of Sevilla, against Olympique Lyon, in the semifinals set for April 28 and May 5.
The Italian Atalanta faces the German opposition again in RB Leipzig after knocking out Bayer Leverkusen in the last 16. Leipzig had a goodbye after his opponents Spartak Moscow was suspended as a party of sanctions against Russia after the invasion of Ukraine.
The winner of that tie will play Braga or Rangers who play the remaining quarter-finals.
The final is programmed for May 18 in Seville.
