The Saudi Arabian Basketball Federation has approved the schedule of the Sunni teams for the 2023 sports season. This was announced during the sixth meeting of the board of directors of the federation, which took place yesterday at the headquarters of the federation at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex in Riyadh, headed by Dr. rum Gassan Tashkandi and in the presence of members.
During the meeting, many decisions were ratified and approved, most notably the definition of a second period of coordination and classification for all clubs registered to play basketball between 15 and 26 January 2023 AD, and the approval of the creation of the Women’s Basketball League , starting in February 2023 AD, and approving the formation of a technical committee to study determining the number of players allowed to participate from junior to higher grades in various federation competitions, and approving the results of federation matches. Abha and Al-Tarf teams in the first division (20/nil) in favor of the Abha club team, since the Al-Tarf team was not present at the match and therefore does not receive points.
