Abroad from the European Union policy Chef Josep Borrell on Friday called on China to use son affecting on Russia wants to end the violence in Ukraine.
Borrell said that if the United Nations General Assembly does not condemn Russia invasion of Ukraine is “the law of the jungle.”
“I talked with the Chinese minister this morning, asking him to use their influence … to respect the sovereignty and integrity of everyone, including Ukraine,” Borrell told reporters.
Referring to a resolution on Russia invasion of Ukraine on the UN Security Council, he said would be vetoed by Moscow, but he hoped the resolution would then be passed by the General Assembly.
“If the United Nations does not condemn what Russia is doing, it is the law of the jungle. It’s the law of the strongest, the one who is powerful then invades others using brutal force“, he told reporters as he walked to a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels.
“If the United Nations does not condemn Russian behavior, it is the whole international system who is put in cause,” he added.
