German football club Borussia Dortmund has been flirting with fans of Saudi football club Al-Ittihad via social media following the announcement of the team’s kit for next season (2022-2023).
Borussia Dortmund have unveiled the “Festival Black” jersey for next season through their official social media platforms.
The jersey is similar to the colors of the Saudi Al-Ittihad club and the Egyptian Arab Contractors football team.
And Borussia Dortmund’s Twitter account posted a photo of their new jersey, commenting with a funny “tweet” in Saudi dialect to the Saudi Al-Ittihad account, which read: “What’s higher O Eti?
Saudi and Al Ittihad fans interacted with the post, prompting the club to flirt with the Egyptians with another post.
The club posted a photo of their German star Marco Reus wearing a new jersey and commented in Egyptian colloquialism saying “No, not Arab contractors”, referring to the team’s famous uniform as the “Mountain Wolves”.
This is not the first time the German team has worn a yellow jersey with longitudinal black stripes, as they wore a similar jersey in the 2012-2013 season.
