The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Monday the final list of nominees for the Best in Africa award during a ceremony scheduled for July 21 in Rabat.
CAF said on its official website on Monday that the list of nominees for the Continental Player of the Year award has been narrowed down to include Senegalese trio Sadio Mane, Edvard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Algerian Riyad Mahrez, Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Cameroonian Carl Toko Ekambi, Vincent Aboubakar, the Ivorian Sebastian Haller, Guinean Naby Keita and Moroccan Ashraf Hakimi.
While the list of nominees for the award “Best Young Player” includes Burkinan Dango Ouattara, Ivorian Karim Konate, Ghanaian Kamal Eddin Slimane, Senegalese Babe Matar Sar and Tunisian Hannibal Majbri.
Continental Player of the Year nominees include Thiago Azulao (Petro Atlético) and Karim Konate (ASEC Mimosa), five players from Al Ahly Egypt, Aliou Diang, Ali Maaloul, Percy Thau, Mohamed Sherif and Mohamed El . -Shennawi and three players from Wydad Casablanca, Ashraf Dari, Yahya Gibran and Zuhair Al-Matraji.
