The Chinese government has announced its agreement to release Rwanda from the $7.1 million debt that Rwanda borrowed from Beijing to build roads. Reduce the debt burden of African countries that are making positive progress in reforming their economies and fighting corruption.
She explained that China’s forgiveness of Rwanda’s aforementioned debt would be based on the principal and interest arrears.
