The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology was awarded the Arab Government’s Excellence Award as the best Arab ministry after fulfilling the four criteria of the award presented in the implementation of the vision, the main tasks and innovation, in addition to the integrated factors and influential indicators across all criteria. .
In terms of performance awards, Noura Abdullah Al-Zaid, Chairman of the Council for the Empowerment of Women in the Communications and Information Technology Sector and Senior Advisor, received the award for the best Arab civil servant.
The ceremony honoring the winners was held today in Cairo at the headquarters of the Arab League in the presence of His Excellency Minister of Communications and Information Technology Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swah, and the Ministry’s award was received by His Excellency Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng.
This coronation is due to the distinction and success of the Ministry in creating a solid digital foundation for building a coherent present and innovative future, as well as its adoption of a series of steps and procedures that began with the establishment of the concepts of institutional excellence in a system of work that adopts the concepts of leadership and innovation, which , in turn, contributed to making qualitative leaps in the communications and information technology sector, which strengthened the Kingdom’s progress in international indicators, as the Kingdom ranks third in the world in terms of digital government maturity, according to the World Bank, and ranks second in digital competitiveness among G20 countries.
