The opening ceremony of the chess tournament was opened by Dr. Abdullah Al-Wahshi, President of the Saudi Arabian Chess Federation and CEO of the Asian Chess Federation, and after the first five rounds of the competition, Ahmed Adli from Egypt and Saleh Salem from the UAE, who finished 59th. in the world to participate in reaching the first place without losing Third place goes to the Egyptian Bassem Amin, ranked 44th in the world.
The prizes of the chess tournament are among the largest in the Middle East, with a total of around 800,000 Saudi Rials, where the first winner of the tournament receives a cash prize of 300,000 Rials and the second winner receives a prize of 200,000 Rials. rials, and the third winner receives an amount of 100,000. Real and cash prizes will be distributed up to tenth place.
