On Friday, the Emirates News Agency reported the death of the country’s President, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed.
She wrote on her Twitter account: “The Ministry of Presidential Affairs mourns the people of the UAE, Arab and Islamic countries and around the world, the leader of the nation and the patron of his career, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al. Nahyan, the president of the state, who has gone over to the side of his Lord, is pleased today, Friday, May 13th.
He also announced official mourning and flags at half-mast for the late His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan – may God have mercy on him – for a period of 40 days, starting today, and suspended work in ministries, departments, federal and local agencies, and private sector within 3 days starting today.
