Egypt and Algeria reached the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup.

Egypt and Algeria advanced to the quarter-finals of the U-20 Arab States Cup after the Pharaohs beat Somalia 2-0 with goals from Youssef Ahmed, who received the Man of the Match award, and Omar Ibrahim at the Group D finish. At the stadium of the club “Damak” in the province of Khamis Mushait.

This result sees Egypt rise to 6 points to top the Group D standings and guarantee qualification to the quarter-finals, followed by Oman with 3 points and then Somalia with no points.

While Algeria qualified after a 3-1 win over Libya at the end of the Group C matches, in a meeting that brought them together at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Mahalla.

Goals for the Algerian team were scored by Joers Rahho, who received the Man of the Match award, as well as Osama Ammar and Lahlou Ahrib, while the goal for the Libyan team was scored by Mohamed Adel.

With this result, Algeria’s balance rises to 6 points at the top of the third group standings and guarantees qualification to the quarter-finals, followed by Libya with 3 points in second place, then Lebanon without balance.

For its part, the group stage of the competition will end on Thursday. In the third and final round of Group E, Djibouti will face Tunisia at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium.

Tunisia is at the top of the group standings with 3 points tied for second team Bahrain followed by Djibouti third unbalanced.

At the Damak club stadium, the Palestinian national team will meet with Morocco in the third and final round of the Group F competition.

The Palestine team leads the group standings with 3 points, on a par with the team of Morocco, followed by the team of Sudan without standings, and officially left the tournament.

The quarter-final matches are scheduled for next Sunday, the semi-final matches will take place on Wednesday, and the tournament will end with the final match on Saturday, August 6th.
