India’s Ministry of Health today recorded the highest daily increase in novel coronavirus (Covid-19) infections in 236 days, and the Middle East News Agency said India recorded 11,109 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases in the country to to 49,000. And 622 cases, adding that the death toll from infection with the virus rose to 531,000 and 64 deaths after 29 new deaths were recorded.
