The Tunisian handball team Esperance defeated the Egyptian team Zamalek (29-28) in the final match that brought them together today as part of the 37th Arab League Championship and Cup Champion Clubs, held in Tunisia from 17 to 27 September this month .
The first half ended in a two-team tie (10-10) and the original time also ended in a tie (25-25) before resorting to extra time which saw Esperance win.
With this victory, Esperance qualified for the Super Globe 2022 Handball Club World Championship to be held next October in the Kingdom.
