The European Union established a joint mechanism to supervise the Ohrid Agreement between Serbia and Kosovo to normalize relations.

The EU Special Representative will chair the Joint Monitoring Committee for the dialogue Operation and Other Territorial Affairs of the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajác.
Kosovo will be represented by Ambassador Agron Bajrami in Brussels and chief negotiator Petar Petkovic for Serbia.
The committee will meet regularly in Brussels and job descriptions will be specified on May 2 at a meeting.
Serbia and Kosovo reached an agreement on Feb 27 to sign Proposal to normalize relations after the meeting in Brussels.
The agreement came after 12 hours of Talks between Albanian Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and officials from the European Union.
The two parties later agreed on how to carry out the transaction in the last round of talks on March 18th in North Macedonia.
The 11-point agreement requires that the parties stick together good Neighborhood relations and getting to know each other’s documents such as passports and license plates.
