The footage showed part of the stands falling as supporters of the Libyan Football Federation club celebrated their league victory on Saturday.
The video shows the collapse of the stands, on which there were a large number of fans, to the screams of the audience. Club fans gathered at the club’s headquarters in Tripoli’s Bab Bin Gashir district to celebrate the team’s retention of the league title.
And the Libyan government’s emergency and ambulance service in Tripoli wrote on Facebook: “As a result of the heavy gathering of Al-Ittihad fans, part of the stadium collapsed on the fans. Emergency crews immediately rushed to the scene. to treat the wounded. We want safety for everyone.”
