Outgoing British Prime Minister Boris Johnson delivered his farewell speech in Downing Street on Tuesday morning.
Dozens of Downing Street employees gathered to say goodbye to Boris Johnson following his tenure as prime minister.
In his speech, Johnson said that the achievements of his government are undeniable, especially in the files of Brexit, the Corona virus and the ongoing war in Ukraine.
“We bravely weathered the economic crisis caused by Russian President Vladimir Putin,” Johnson said.
Of the next government, Johnson said: “I will give the next government all the support it needs. We will support Liz Truss, her team and her program.”
After the speech, Johnson went to the royal palace to formally submit his resignation to Queen Elizabeth.
In mid-July, Johnson announced he would step down after several lawmakers and government ministers objected to him settling a series of scandals, including violating lockdown rules during rallies at his Downing Street office.
