Legal Counsel and Lawyer Khaled Al-Mahmadi explained that the recent decision of the International Football Association (FIFA) in the case of player Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah and the Al-Nasr Club confirmed the illegality of the termination of the contract of the Al-Nasr Club unilaterally with Hamdallah, especially that the decision included compensation to the player equivalent to one million rials.
And FIFA, in its decision, ordered the Al-Nasr club to pay Abdul Razzak Hamdallah about 13 million rials, which is the value of the old payments to the player, as well as compensation in the amount of about one million rials in connection with the breach of the contract by the club.
Al-Mohammadi told Al-Madina that the Hamdallah player’s case with the Al-Nasr club is completely different from the other case between the player and the Al-Ittihad club and its administrators on the one hand, and the Al-Nasr club on the other hand. and it is expected to be considered by the Sports Arbitration Center, especially after the Committee on Professionalism made a decision in it.
The International Football Association based its decision on the decision of the Saudi Professionalism Committee, although FIFA’s decision is not final and the parties have the right to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Al-Muhammadi added that Al-Nasr’s payments in the case are considered incomplete due to the incomplete decision in the Professional Committee, and FIFA does not take into account any records when considering contractual disputes and can be taken into account in rare cases. cases such as doping.
Al-Muhammadi expressed surprise at those who spoke of large fines in the case, noting that in such a case there would be a fine for one of the parties.
Al-Muhammadi considered that one of the important points is that FIFA’s decision contributes to strengthening the position of the Al-Ittihad club and Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah in the case, which will be considered by the Saudi Arabian Sports Arbitration Center, and is also considered as an endorsement of the decision of the center when it suspended the fine handed down by the Saudi Occupational Committee against Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah and confirms the health and safety of the decision.
Al-Muhammadi stressed that there is another chapter in the case where one of the parties goes to the CAS court where the An-Nasr club is expected to appeal the decision and the player is expected to appeal because he did it . did not receive the compensation they demanded.
Finally, Al-Muhammadi confirmed that the position of the Al-Ittihad club had been strengthened in the case before the Sports Arbitration Centre.
