Forest fires in Algiers have killed 26 people.

Algeria’s Interior Ministry reported at least 26 deaths in wildfires in the country’s east, with Interior Minister Kamel Beljoud telling state television: “At least 26 people have died and dozens have been injured as a result of wildfires that have engulfed 14 districts of Algeria. north of Algeria, and Beljud explained that 24 people had died. In the fires in the state of El Tarf, near the border with Tunisia, in addition to the deaths of two people earlier in the state of Setif, the Algerian authorities are dealing with huge fires, the spread of which has expanded, especially in the eastern regions , due to the heat wave that swept the North African region.
