France fell asleep yesterday to the voices of Macron and Marine Le Pen in a thrilling televised debate as the race for the Elysée entered its final lap. The two candidates are focused on the second round of elections in France, which Le Pen was defeated five years ago, and this time Macron needs to defend his presidential result.
Four days before the date of the runoff, the far-right candidate, whose campaign has focused on the issue of purchasing power, expresses “great satisfaction”, but opinion polls show that the outgoing president will win by a margin of between 53 and 55.5%.
