Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has survived at least three assassination attempts in the past week thanks to the anti-war units in Russian intelligence, The Times, a Briton news outlet, reported Thursday.
According to the report, two groups of Wagner mercenaries group and Chechen special forces were sent to transport out the mission. However, he added that both attempts were thwarted by anti-war elements within Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB).
The report also says Wagner’s mercenaries in Kyiv suffered casualties in the assassination attempts and were reportedly noticed by how accurately the Ukrainians had anticipated their movesmaybe after a tip-off by the FSB.
Since Russian troops arrived in Ukraine last week to reach Putin’s mission of overthrow the pro-Westerns government of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, hundreds of civilians were reportedly killed.
Russian forces transported out a massive bombardment campaign and encircled urban centers, but Ukraine insists that no city has been exceeded.
