The states of the Gulf Cooperation Council have confirmed that they have friendly relations with all parties to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and that they are convinced that the best way to avoid negative consequences is to resolve the crisis through dialogue and diplomatic means in a way that is in the interests of all sides.

This is stated in the statement made by the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Wazel, on behalf of the member states of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf during the UN General Assembly Extraordinary Special Session held today to vote on draft resolution “Territorial Integrity of Ukraine”.
