Moroccan international Ashraf Hakimi, defender of the French football team Paris Saint-Germain, was hit hard by his wife amid his accusations of a shameful incident.
Heba Abouk, of Tunisian origin, broke her silence after weeks of investigation with her husband Ashraf Hakimi over his allegation of attempted rape of a French woman in late February to announce their divorce from him.
Heba Abouk released a statement through the Story feature on her official Instagram website account, saying, “Today, I feel compelled to announce this statement publicly to express my state of mind and clarify the false information that has been circulating since subjective opinion. So that I can resume my personal, social and professional life with the least damage and injury possible. And, above all, to protect my children, who, of course, are my absolute priority.”
She added, “The truth is, a while ago, after thinking about it a lot. The father of my children and I have made the decision to end our relationship. Long before the events reported by the media. and stop living together, we are waiting for the divorce process.
She continued, “Who could imagine that? In addition to facing the usual pain that comes with separation and accepting the grief that accompanies the failure of a family project to which I gave my body and soul, I had to face this shame.”
Regarding the rape case that her husband is accused of, Heba Abuk said: “I needed time to deal with this shock. Knowing that in my life I have always been and always will be on the side of the victims. Therefore, given the seriousness of the accusation, we can only hope for a smooth administration of justice.”
Heba Abouk concluded her statement by saying, “I ask that you respect my privacy and the privacy of my children in these delicate circumstances. Thank you to all the people who have shown me their support, love and respect.”
