Hogwarts Legacy is a huge hit on Steam, taking up the top four positions in a list of the week’s best-selling titles.

Elden Ring boasts a top concurrent player count of 953,426, but it is unlikely to surpass Cyberpunk 2077’s record of 1,054,388. It has already been confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy was among the top four Steam sellers during its first week of availability.
The top 10 best-selling games on Steam are listed in a tweet from Benji-Sales. Hogwarts Legacy takes up four slots, two for each of its standard and digital deluxe editions. Benji-Sales clarifies in a subsequent tweet that Steam determines pre-orders and releases SKUs separately. As a result, two of these Hogwarts Legacy reviews are from customers who pre-ordered the game, and the other two are from users who purchased it after it became available. In addition, Benji-Sales confirmed that this is a revenue-based chart, making Hogwarts Legacy’s performance all the more remarkable given that it outperformed the Steam Deck, which has a starting price of $399.

It’s not surprising that Hogwarts Legacy’s digital deluxe version came first, given that customers received cosmetic items and 72 hours of early access. With Atomic Heart, Like a Dragon: Ishin!, and Destiny 2: Lightfall releasing in February 2023, it will be interesting to see how the top-sellers ranking looks for the remainder of the month. Project Zomboid, Dead Space, Dying Light 2, and Destiny 2: Lightfall round out the top-selling games on Steam, with CS: GO Prime Status Upgrade grabbing the final position.
Console releases have different sales statistics by location. Fans can still anticipate comparable sales figures across all accessible platforms. Hogwarts Legacy is proving to be a huge success for WB Games. It is likely to rank among the best-selling video games of 2023. Hogwarts Legacy has excellent user ratings and good sales, with a Metacritic rating of 9.1 at the time of writing for the PS5 edition.
Hogwarts Legacy is now available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Versions for PS4 and Xbox One will be released on April 4. The Switch version will be available on July 25.
