His Excellency Minister of State and Minister for Shura Council Affairs Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Said met in Cairo with the Minister of Civil Aviation of Egypt, Lieutenant General Muhammad Abbas Helmi.
The meeting was attended by the President of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, Abdel Aziz bin Abdullah Al-Dualej, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Osama bin Ahmed Nakli.
Lieutenant General Muhammad Abbas welcomed Dr. Essam bin Saeed and his accompanying delegation, emphasizing the close fraternal ties between the Kingdom and Egypt and the depth of historical and strategic relations between the two fraternal countries.
He stressed the interest in intensifying cooperation and exchange of experience between the two fraternal countries in the field of air transportation within the framework of the directives of the political leadership of Egypt on the importance of joint coordination to strengthen relations in various fields.
For his part, Dr. Essam bin Said congratulated Lieutenant General Muhammad Abbas on his assumption of the position of the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation, wishing him success.
His Excellency noted that Egypt’s civil aviation sector has seen a significant development in various activities, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the partnership with the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation to serve the air transport industry in both countries.
During the meeting, the prospects for existing cooperation between the two fraternal countries and ways to intensify it in the field of air transport, as well as a mechanism for coordinating and unifying the views and positions of the two sides in international forums were discussed.
The problems facing the aviation industry and ways to solve them to serve the air transport sector of the Arab countries were also considered.
