The Jordanian army said in a statement that this tenth session of the exercise, hosted on the territory of the Kingdom, will take place from 4 to 15 September, explaining that it is aimed at “joint work in the field of counter-terrorism, the development of security forces, and cooperation between agencies and institutions of different countries to respond to security threats and internal crises”.

The exercises are taking place on the fields of the Jordanian Armed Forces, in the command and control centers, the Special Operations Training Center. King Abdullah and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management involving various types of land, air and sea weapons.

For his part, US Army Colonel Joshua Smith, Director of Operations for Task Force 51/5, told a press conference that about 1,700 US troops, 2,200 Jordanian Armed Forces and 400 troops from other countries are taking part in the exercise. .

Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Kazakhstan, Austria, Sweden, Cyprus, Kenya, Greece, Poland, Belgium, Pakistan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, UAE, Bahrain also participate in these exercises, according to the statement. , Kuwait, Oman, Morocco, in addition to Jordan.
