Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that agreements on accession to Russia will be signed with all four regions where the referendums were held.
“All four (regions) held referendums and sent a similar request to the Russian side,” Peskov said, answering a question from journalists about how many regions an agreement to join Russia would be signed.
Peskov confirmed that on Friday, the Kremlin will host a ceremony to sign agreements on the annexation of four new regions to Russia, in which Putin will take part.
Referendums on joining Russia were held from 23 to 27 September in the Donetsk and Luhansk republics, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
According to the results of counting 100% of the votes, in the Donetsk Republic 99.23% voted for joining Russia, in Luhansk – 98.42%, in Kherson – 87.05%, in Zaporozhye – 93.11%.
