The Ministry of Sports has announced the withdrawal of Al-Ettifaq Club’s Mass Attendance Support Initiative for Sports Club Match Support Strategy (Al-Ettifaq and Al-Hilal) in the amount of one million rials and a warning to the club’s management. for non-compliance with approved organizational measures.
This came in a clarification from the Ministry of Sports regarding what had been circulated about the gathering of fans before the Al-Ittifaq vs. Al-Hilal match at the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.
This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Sports. Raja Allah Al-Sulami, referring to the fact that a number of fans died before the match between Al-Ettifak and Al-Hilal in the postponed match of the 20th round of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional League, which was held in Wednesday 11 May 2022 at the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.
And he continued: Based on the clarification of the stadium management and what was included in the agreement protocol before the match, in one of the paragraphs of which it was stated that tickets should not be distributed on the day of the match, and also taking into account the fact that the Al Ettifak club violated this by announcing the distribution of free tickets to fans on the day of the match, as well as not providing a sufficient number of organizers. A decision was made to deprive the Al-Ettifak club of support for the mass attendance initiative.
