According to Press Trust news agency of India, two forward fighter jets of the Indian Air Force crashed during a training mission in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh, India on Saturday, killing one pilot in a tragic and rare accident. It is possible that a Russian-made Su-30MKI fighter and a French-made Mirage 2000 fighter collided mid-air.
According to the report, there was no official comment from the Indian Air Force. Indian officials said the deceased Mirage pilot had been identified as Wing Commander Hanumant Rao Sarati, adding that a high-level investigation into the accident had been ordered.
