This morning in the province of Jeddah, the competitions of the elite championship of the Kingdom for the School League in basketball and volleyball, for the categories “15 and 18 years old” for middle and high school students, which represent school teams, champions, where 16 teams participate in volleyball competitions in the category 18 years and 16 teams in the 15-year-old category, and in basketball 15 teams participate in the 15-year-old category and 14 teams in the 18-year-old category, for a total of 61 teams.
This is happening as part of the School League project, which is implemented by the Ministry of Sports in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, as it is the first version in sports such as basketball and volleyball, in addition to the main sport, football. This project aims to develop school sports and enrich them with annual competitions that are held in all educational schools of the year in the Kingdom to give students the opportunity to prove their abilities and technical level in order to become the core of clubs and national teams in the future. .
