Yesterday, the Iraqi Public Conscription Authority announced the launch of Operation Firm Will Eight in Mosul.
The commission said in a statement: “The joint forces of the army, police and the Nineveh Operational Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces launched the first page of Operation Firm Will 8 to inspect and secure areas south, east, west and north of Mosul.”
And she went on, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Popular Mobilization Forces participated in 6 axes as part of operations to hunt down the remnants of ISIS and destroy their hideouts.”
Last week, the Salah al-Din Operational Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces announced the launch of a large-scale verification and security operation on the island of Salah al-Din in the west of the province, during which tunnels and explosive devices for the ISIS terrorist organization were discovered.
