Iraq for the fourth title… and Oman for the third

The national teams of Iraq and Oman are looking forward to increasing their post-Gulf Cup balance when the two teams meet today, Thursday, at the Basra International Stadium in the Gulf Final 25. The lions of Mesopotamia are looking for the title they have been given. was absent for 35 years to become the fourth in his career in the championship.

The Iraq national team won the Gulf Cup for the first time in the fifth edition in Kuwait in 1979 at the expense of Kuwait and in 1984 it won the title for the second time in the Gulf 7 and the last title was in 1988 in Saudi Arabia after defeating the Emirates.

On the other hand, the Omani team waited 39 years to claim their first titles in the tournament in 2009 at Gulf 19 before being crowned for the second time at 2017 at Gulf 23.
