Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Dr. Awwad bin Sabti Al Anzi on behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Vocation and Guidance and Overseer General of the King Fahd Complex for the Seal of the Holy Kor in Medina, Sheikh Dr. Saud – may God protect him – in number (120,000) copies of the Holy Quran in various sizes and translations of the Holy Quran, to the Republic of Senegal, at the headquarters of the Royal Embassy in Dakar today in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Senegal, Saad bin Abdullah al-Nafi’i, and representatives of the Islamic associations of Senegal .
Al-Enesi said: This gift is a continuation of the giving of the Kingdom and its message, based on the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be with him, and the continuation of the bonds of love, Islamic brotherhood. and peace to the whole world, as the Qur’an unites hearts and bodies in goodness and guidance.
He underlined the commitment of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to deliver these copies of the Holy Quran through the King Fahd Holy Quran Printing Complex, which is witnessing a quantum leap in the production of these Qurans for Muslims around the world.
For his part, Ambassador an-Nafi’i stressed in his speech during the ceremony prepared for the occasion that the gift of the Guardian of the two holy mosques from the Holy Qur’an to the Republic of Senegal represents the great efforts made by the wise leadership to serve Islam and take care of the Book of God and disseminate among Muslims in the corners of the earth, indicating that this gift is the epitome of the unremitting efforts that the Kingdom is working to spread the concept of moderation, fight extremism and demonstrate true Islam.
In turn, the Director General of the Dar Al Iman Institutes in Senegal, Dr. Mohamed Habibullah Sy, expressed his joy at participating in this ceremony of handing over the gift of the Kingdom of the Holy Qurans in such a large number that will benefit the people of Senegal, noting the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Messenger. May God bless him and grant him peace, and serve Muslims in various parts of the world, whether on an educational or propaganda level.
He also expressed gratitude and appreciation to the leadership for the care and attention it gives to everything that serves the Muslims in the world, including the support of Islamic centers, associations and mosques in Senegal with these copies of the Noble Qurans.
For his part, the head of the Al-Falah Islamic Culture Movement, Sheikh Osman Glayoka, expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Trusted Crown Prince – may God preserve them – for this generous gift, noting the role of the King Fahd Complex on printing the Holy Quran and his staff and their efforts in serving the Quran Sheriff.
