Islamic Cooperation convenes emergency meeting to address Sudan’s crisis at Kingdom’s request.

At the invitation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today, on Wednesday, an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation began, dedicated to the development of the situation in Sudan. Saleh Al-Suhaibani that the Kingdom is committed to stop the escalation and rally ranks in sister Sudan and calls on the parties in Sudan to show restraint and rally ranks to achieve peace and security, noting that more than 5,000 people are citizens of the country with whom the Kingdom facilitated their evacuation from Sudan to Jeddah.

For his part, Secretary of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Hussein Taha said: “We appreciate the ongoing efforts and initiatives of the Kingdom to resolve the crisis in Sudan”, and we also appreciate its efforts to evacuate citizens of friendly and brotherly countries from Sudan.
