The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has declared its rejection and condemnation of Israel’s claims of alleged sovereignty over the occupied city of Jerusalem and the demolition of the Al-Rajabi family home in Silwan, which is a flagrant violation of international law and relevant Nations Resolutions.
The organization reaffirmed its firm support for the right of the Palestinian people to full sovereignty over the city of East Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Palestine, reiterating its condemnation of all Israeli positions and measures aimed at changing its legal and historical status, including colonial settlement policies, house demolitions, forced displacement of Palestinian citizens and an attempt to separate time and space of the Blessed Aksa Mosque.
The Organization has also held Israel, the occupying Power, fully and directly responsible for the continuation of these crimes and attacks that it has perpetrated daily against the Palestinian people and their holy places, and for resolutions that have international legitimacy.
