The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that a 16-year-old Palestinian girl was killed by the Israeli army during a military operation in the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank. The army said that during the operation, “the suspects threw explosives and opened heavy fire on the soldiers, and the soldiers returned live ammunition to the militants.” More than 40 Palestinians were killed during Israeli operations in the Jenin area, including militants, 12-year-old children and Palestinian-American journalist Sherin Abu Akle.
