A video has surfaced in Italian and Israeli media of a young man who followed an Israeli tourist as she went to a ticket machine at a station known as central Termini in Rome to buy the one she would board the train with. at the airport to return to Tel Aviv, he attacked her with a knife and stabbed her in the stomach and back, after which he fled. They fled the scene, leaving her screaming and crying. except that she was 24 years old, and she carried a red backpack on her shoulders, while the attacker’s head was covered with a black hat, and he had a blue nylon bag in his hand, and he caught up with her at 9:45 pm last Saturday. He wrapped his arm around the back of her neck when she was buying a ticket, then stabbed her in the upper abdomen and side of the back. Soon an ambulance arrived, and the victim was taken to the hospital, whose doctors stated that “her condition is somewhat critical, due to a small rupture in the liver, and the same in the lung, but in a less serious form, which makes her condition stable.”
Police were reported to be currently looking into what was captured by the station’s internal surveillance camera, in addition to what eyewitnesses have mentioned, noting that no statements have been made by any official Israeli side so far.
