Junior Green beat Lebanon to advance to Arab Cup quarter-finals

Our youth football team has reached the quarter-finals of the 2022 Arab States Cup, which is currently taking place in the Algerian city of Oran and will last until September 8 next year, after a massive 6-0 victory over Lebanon in the final round. groups D.

The goals of our team were scored by Talal Haji (3 goals), Farha Al-Shamrani, Ammar Al-Yakhibi and Nawaf Al-Janahi.

In the same group, Egypt beat Syria 5–0 with two goals each from Ayman Abdelaziz and Ahmed Fouad, with Syrian goalkeeper Majd Al-Jabbarah scoring by mistake.

Thus, in the group standings, the Egyptian team leads with 9 points, followed by the Saudi Arabia team with 6 points, and then the teams of Syria and Lebanon with one point.

In Group C at the Al Siq Stadium, Morocco secured a 1–0 victory over the Comoros with a goal from Adam Shakir.

In the same group and at Mostaganem Stadium, a positive score was settled 1–1 as a result of a match between Iraq and Mauritania and Sidi Ba scored for Mauritania while Iraq’s goal was scored by Hassan Jassem.

With these results, the Iraqi team leads the third group with 7 points, followed by the Moroccan team with 6 points, then the Comoros team with 3 points, and then the Mauritanian team in fourth place with one point.

Teams that qualify for the final round will rest on Wednesday, and the next stage will take place on Thursday and Friday at Mostaganem Stadium.

Tomorrow, Thursday, Algeria will face their Tunisian counterpart at 16:30, while Yemen will play Sudan at 20:00 local time.

On Friday, Iraq will face Saudi Arabia at 16:30, while Egypt will play Morocco at 20:00 local time.
