Kherson Region Endures Intense Artillery Bombardment

One person has died and at least three have been injured in a Russian artillery rocket attack on the Kherson region in southern Ukraine, a local official said yesterday. The latest Russian strikes come as Ukraine confirms it is preparing to retaliate against invading Russian forces to its territory from February 2022. It’s almost over.

“Over the past 24 hours, Russia has carried out 39 artillery strikes and fired 163 heavy artillery shells, (missiles) Gradov: drones and aviation,” said Oleksandr Prokudin, head of Ukraine’s regional military administration.

In addition, Russia still controls part of the Kherson region, despite its withdrawal from its capital last November.
