Serbian international winger Filip Kostic officially joined Juventus on Thursday from Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.
And the Turin giant posted photos of the 29-year-old, writing on his official website: “Filip Kostic has arrived at Caselle airport to undergo a medical examination at Juventus.
Juventus also released a video of the Serb’s arrival amid a great reception from the old lady’s fans.
The Serbian international contract has been registered in the Italian league, as stated in the new regulations on the official summer transfer website.
Kostic will join his Serbian teammate Dugan Vlahovic at Juventus.
While Juventus have yet to announce contract details, Italian media have reported that Kostic will sign a three-year deal with the 36-time Italian champions.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Frankfurt will receive around 13 million euros, with the deal likely to rise to 17 million including bonuses.
Kostic, 29, played a prominent role in Eintracht Frankfurt’s 2021-22 European League victory as he was selected as the best player in the second most important competition after the Champions League.
The Serbian winger’s performance sparked speculation that he could leave Frankfurt in the summer and Italy could be his potential destination.
And Kostic’s future became clear on Tuesday when he did not travel with the team to Helsinki to play the European Super Cup match in which Real Madrid, the Spanish champions, won the Champions League against the German side 2-0.
Austrian Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner expressed regret at the loss of his star striker, but felt that the latter was leaving the club a “champion”.
“From a mathematical point of view, this makes us weaker,” he said. “One of my eyes is smiling and the other is crying. It is clear that he left his mark.”
In the same context, Eintracht goalkeeper Kevin Trapp praised his colleague, saying that Kostic “made history with us”.
