Iraqi rescuers have removed the bodies of four people, including a woman and a man, from rubble after a muddy hill collapsed on a religious shrine in southern Iraq’s Karbala province, civil defense told AFP, as rescue efforts have been underway for more than 24 hours. As of Sunday afternoon, civil defense teams were still trying to excavate with tractors and hand tools the people who were still stranded at the site. The photographer told AFP that security forces and the army had arrived at the scene to support the rescue effort.
