Yesterday, French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the situation in Ukraine with Speaker of the State Duma of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov at the Elysee Palace. And the French president reaffirmed in a statement that Macron “sought to receive Ukrainian officials to confirm his intention to continue to support Ukraine”, “his support in the face of the Russian invasion and in terms of France’s readiness to respond to all the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.” The meetings came after Macron’s statement that “nothing is ruled out in principle” regarding President Volodymyr Zelensky’s request to his Western allies to provide his country with combat aircraft. The words of the President of France were made on Monday evening after his meeting with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte in The Hague. The latter expressed his country’s support for the response to Zelensky’s request.
