French President Emmanuel Macron stressed today Saturday “the determination to support partners in the eastern region of the European Union against any attempts to create tension and destabilize”, according to a statement from the Elysee Palace.
“We stand with Moldova and Georgia to defend their sovereignty and security,” Macron said during his meeting with Moldovan and Georgian Presidents Maya Sandu and Salome Zurabishvili on Ukraine, noting that he invited the latter to visit Paris early next week.
