The 15th Super Globe Handball Championship started yesterday and will be held in Dammam from 18 to 23 October.
The tournament is held in the Kingdom for the first time, and this is the largest edition in the history of the tournament, in which 12 teams participate for the first time. German title holder Magdeburg kicked off his campaign for the ‘Super Globe’ Club World Handball Championship yesterday with a 41-23 victory over Sydney, Australia at the Ministry of Sports Hall in Dammam.
The first half ended with the German team leading 20-8. Meanwhile, Spain’s Barcelona took their first victory over Mexican Minesteros (50–18) in the fourth group stage.
