However, the Tunisian Federation confirmed in a statement that the tests showed no damage to the cruciate ligament.

It is noteworthy that the 31-year-old Msakni missed the 2018 World Cup in Russia due to an injury he received before the final of the Qatari League. Msakni’s name (17 goals in 84 international matches) was included on Tuesday in the list of 29 players announced by coach Jalal Al-Qadri for the matches against Comoros and Brazil in France on 22 and 27 September.

The player, nicknamed “The Mongoose”, wore the colors of the Tunisian stadium (2007) and then Esperance between 2008 and 2013 before moving to Qatar where he defended the colors of Al Duhail, which he loaned out Oyben, a Belgian and an Arab.

Tunisia competes in the World Cup final in Qatar at the end of the year in the same group as defending champions France, Denmark and Australia, where they hope to reach the second round for the first time in their sixth participation.
