The Central Committee of Physicians of the country announced the emergence of a new epidemic, the symptoms of which include fever, body aches, agitation and sudden loss of consciousness. It has not yet been diagnosed, indicating that it originated in the Gereida region, South Darfur. , and more than 100 people were injured as a result, stressing that no deaths have been recorded so far.
Doctors at the Gereida hospital in the Sudanese state of South Darfur told Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath television that dozens of strange spasms have been reported to the hospital over the past two days.
They added: The victims complained of headaches, pain in the neck and back, some of which were accompanied by convulsions and harsh cries.
They also continued: the number of cases is increasing, explaining that when they are sedated with drugs for several hours, they soon return to their previous state.
